Howdy Ags!

Wow! I can’t believe its December and this is my last President’s Corner! Our official officer transitions will be at the Annual Banquet on February 13th, but that is just around the corner.

I’m excited to tell you that this year’s Annual Banquet keynote speaker is W. Miles Mark, President and CEO of the 12th Man Foundation. It is sure to be a great night of Aggie athletic updates and story-telling while feeling proud to be an Aggie. Also joining us will be Scott Jarvis ’00, Director of Club Programs, to help us with the induction of our 2012 Officers and Board of Directors. Please mark your calendars for the Annual Banquet, which will be held on Monday, February 13, 2012. We will have a social at 6 PM, dinner at 7 PM, and our speaker at 7:45 PM. You can find the RSVP for the banquet on the front page of the newsletter.

I am happy to report that our club is making a $12,000 deposit to our Texas A&M scholarship endowment! These are monies raised through the golf tournament, raffles, your membership contributions, and other donations. Thank you for your continued support!

We had a great turn out at our Hoot-N-Holler event with the Texas Exes on November 21. We certainly outnumbered the burnt orange t-shirts! We also had the game playing on the big screen. Thank you to Lee Tristan for organizing this successful event!

In closing, I want to thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve as your club president this year. I’ve recently moved to Houston, so I’m moving on to many new adventures I’m sure! I want to thank all my wonderful Officers, Board Members and Chairpersons. There were so many accomplishments in 2011 and it wouldn’t have been such a successful year without all of you! I’m looking forward to keeping in touch to see what good things come for the Club in 2012!
